War of Independence Anno 1956 and Freedom's Fury Nowadays 2006

50 years ago the Hungarian heroes unmasked the Communism. However the descendants of those communists and in some cases the very Communists themselves still hold the power - with the support of the EU and USA - in Hungary (and Central-Europe as well). On the other side the Hungarian revival emerges along the Polish and Czech ones. We hereby present an international press review comprising the BBC, Guardian, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Open Democracy, Rzeczpospolita, Der Standard, Die Welt, Wiener Zeitung, Wprost and Zeit-Fragen with special regard to the 50th anniversary of '23rd October 1956 Hungary'. Then the Austrian Post reflects official statement while the public opinion echoes from Italy.
